This sound insulating material, thermally reinforced or needle-punched, is widely used in the automotive industry due to its high strength and performance, relatively low weight, and significant sound insulation and thermal resistance.
This sound insulating material becomes non-flammable or resistant to all types of chemical agents following the application of appropriate treatments; it is fitted both on the vehicle body and inside; it is relatively easy to model and recycle if the car is scrapped.
IMP ROMANIA has been developing the production of sound insulating material for vehicles in two directions:
Sound insulating material based on low-melt or polypropylene fibres, also called thermoplastics
Sound insulating material based on phenolic or epoxy resins. The former can be polymerized or pre-polymerized, while the latter can be thermoformed in different shapes according to the needs of the customers.
We are the only suppliers in Romania that can produce resin-based sound insulating material for the automotive industry.
Needle-punched, flame-retardant product, made of PANOX fibres, used in the production of high-strength fire-fighting equipment.
PANOX® is the industry standard when it comes to flame-retardant textile fibre. PANOX® is a thermally stabilized polyacrylonitrile (PAN) that, due to its unique chemical structure, does not burn, does not melt, does not soften and does not pour.
PANOX® has excellent heat and chemical resistance and an excellent electrical insulation behaviour. Thanks to these exceptional properties, PANOX® is used in a wide variety of applications requiring protection against fire and heat.
